The Welsh Government wants to scrap the independent voice for NHS patients in north Wales. The Community Health Council currently represents patients and their families as well as carrying out unannounced ward visits and supporting hard-pressed staff. The Welsh Government wants to replace this grassroots organisation with handful of hand-picked appointees based in Cardiff.
We need to keep our independent voice for patients here in the North.
